This plant goes by many names.
Despite its name the rose of Jericho is not a rose. It is actually a gray and brown to green plant that is sold in it’s dried form and is a tumbleweed, a type of spike moss, that grows in the deserts of Mexico, New Mexico and Arizona. Once soaked in water the plant will bloom like a rose within hours.
In the wild, this plant rolls like a tumbleweed till it’s finds its source of water. It then roots itself in it’s new home and flourishes. Because of its ability to revive itself and protect itself, it has spiritual and magical significance.
This plant symbolizes rebirth, transformation, manifestation, longevity, enduring love, prosperity, beauty and harmony.
The rose of Jericho also releases negative energy and bad luck and brings in blessing. It is often used in transformation, manifestation, money and love spells. Rose of Jericho plant is commonly called the resurrection plant because of its resilience and it appears to have died and gets “ resurrected” when given water. So it is perfect to use when you need a change, when things are stagnant and you want to transform and or transmute.
• Traditional medicine 
• The rose of Jericho has also been used in traditional medicine to treat various health conditions, including diabetes, asthma, the common cold, menstrual cramps, and arthritis pain, as well as to facilitate labor. People usually prepare it as a tea using its seeds or dried leaves and flowers. It was also commonly used to treat wrinkles in a tea form.


**When not in use, dry out and place in a brown bag and store in cabinet is fine. Then take out when ready to use.

**how to care for plant:
place your rose of Jericho and a shallow bowl of water within hours it will be fully bloomed. Water it every week on a Thursday(DAYOF JUPITER-$,expansion) if possible and if need be. water should be changed fairly often. After use for a couple weeks, let it dehydrate again put it away in a cabinet. then you could repeat the process and reuse and enjoy them again. Simply store in a cool dry area in a plastic or brown bag.

tip: used distilled water or tap water let sit out overnight so that the chlorine and stuff is removed.
Also give your plant a rest and take it out of the water every couple weeks to dry out. Do Not Submerge in water-this can cause molding.

Spiritual/magical use:

cleanse with your choice of cleansing methods so you could smoke cleanse, sound cleanse, with your own energy or the sun/ moon; It’s whatever you prefer.
Add water on Thursdays and also use
water from the rose of Jericho to wash doors and windows with to bring luck and prosperity.

add citrine, pyrites, &/or any crystals that corresponds to abundance money and transformation. You can also add money and coins. Roll up some dollar bills and place in the bowl. Add business card in or under dish.
