Your plant is carefully wrapped & in soil polymers for the shipping process. You can choose to use it and keep it with your plant or use for another plant of your choice, or dispose/discard gel, just do not dispose down the drain.

Place your plants in a pot or a vase with water-bottled or distilled preferably. You may add rocks, pebbles crystals, as desired to hold the plant in place. Refill water as necessary. I personally have never planted in soil, so my recommendation is to keep in water.

The roots of your plant must stay fully submerged at all times. It also does well in fish tanks.

Lucky bamboo does best and warm environment with lots of indirect light. Artificial light is fine, while direct sunlight can burn the leaves and turn them white.

.WATER AND/OR ROCKS ONLY—-Soil polymers ok as well—I have personally never planted in soil so my recommendation is to keep in water, there are some types of lucky bamboo that can be placed in soil but this is not them.
